Alright, so you’ve read the other post, where i have tried in desperation to put you off the idea of buying a puppy, and you still want one. You are convinced that you are the only human being on the planet immune to anger and frustration when a puppy craps all over you new sofa…
Well here’s another thing to consider then, if you really must have one. Think about all the puppies and all the dogs that are freezing their bits off in all the kennels around the country today; especially in this cold weather we’re having. Now, wouldn’t you much rather give one of these dogs or puppies a home? I know i would. personally i’m not arrogant enough to think that i’m capable of looking after a dog, or even that i have the time. I used to have a dog once so i know a little about them, and i know enough to tell you that the ones in the rescue homes are there for a reason and that it to be rescued. If you can find a space in your family for a dog, and you mean to look after it and train it, then a rescue home should be your next port of call. They hardly cost a think, if anything at all, other than a donation to the home; so please give a dog some hope this year.
