You’ve heard the phrase you are what you eat haven’t you? I’m sure you have. Well it works out pretty much the same for dogs too you know. If you feed them the same kind of garbage you eat, no matter how much you think it’s good for you, you will give them a coronary…
This is a simple fact. People think that they are giving their dogs a treat when they feed it cooked bacon that’s been fried in moutains of fat, and an egg on the side, also fried. This will clog your dog’s arteries and eventually kill it. If you have a brain then use it and don’t feed your dog this rubbish. The same goes for crisps. There is so much oil in crisps that it’s enough to kill your dog in a little as 3 years if you feed them to it often enough.
Sweets are another problem area. When we are sitting there on the sofa stuffing maltesers in our face and convincing ourselves that they’re not bad for us because they’re light, we often think that it’s nice to involve the dog in our TV treat night (or whatever poor excuse you use to stuff your face!) The fact remains that the sweets are not good for your dog, and not only will you force it to put on weight, you will also rot it’s teeth. Dog’s teeth are generally harder to keep clean than ours and they are thus much more prone to tooth decay; especiallyt if you feed them sweets.
Try to remember that we are probably one of the only species on the planet that actually eat for pleasure, every other one, including the dog does it because they have to.
