Well, if you truly don’t know where to buy your puppy or dog then there is a serious decision that you need to make here and now. If you are just beginning your journey into owning a pet dog then you are at just the right time to decide…
So in answer to the question in the heading of this blog: you don’t have to buy a puppy or a dog! There, it’s really quite simple isn’t it, when you read it again? The logic behind this is the fact that many of people have already bought dogs and/or puppies for themselves and their families, and these dogs have been subsequently neglected and taken to rescue homes, or worse.
Now if you’re serious about getting a dog then perhaps you should consider going to a rescue home and taking in a dog that once had a home and would very much benefit from getting another one; hopefully a home where people will love it and care for it.
It’s a good strategy because many dog homes now help people to take their dogs in and re-home them. They sometimes provide the dogs innoculations and all that other stuff that needs doing to keep your pet healthy and happy. All that you really have to do is make sure the dog is well loved and cared for. This will make a dog feel happy and welcomed into your home. There is nothing worse for a dog than being rejected by the family that took them in, so also consider your choice wisely.
