Did you get a new puppy for Christmas? Yes? Oh, well if you did, congratulations and welcome to the world of dogs and their wonderful little quirks. It’s a world i’m happy to be a part of and a world i’m happy to offer a few pointers to you in…
Your new puppy will of course need training. It’ll also need feeding, and grooming and cleaning up after, worming, innoculating, and numerous other things that will take a lot of time, money and dedication. But you knew all this right? Otherwise you wouldn’t have got one would you? No, of course not. But there is one more thing far greater than any of the others i’ve listed. One thing dogs need above all else, and from which all the fundamentals will follow naturally. Love. Your dog needs love more than anything in the world.
If you are a parent already, before a dog owner, you’ll know what i’m talking about. Simply because you are a parent it doesn’t make you happy about cleaning up shit and puke and spending your money of worthless pieces of junk that get ruined within the first week of ownership, does it? No of course it doesn’t. What makes you do all these things is love. If you are a parent you will already have experienced that special love you have for your children, and you will realise what you have to do to make their lives complete; this is exactly the feeling you must have for your puppy, for when you do, the rest will happen without a hitch.
Good luck with your new puppy, and i envy you that feeling you have inside! It is truly wonderful.
